For an entire month Muslims fast as to what we call as Roza everyday from sunrise to sunset. This fasting is followed very rigorously and people don’t drink or eat anything during Ramadan. They only have one meal a day. Intermittent fasting is followed by others too for health, gratitude or various other reasons. Roza is followed to feel for the poor. When they fast for an entire day from dawn to dusk, they do it with absolute devotion and love for God. Also during these times, they don’t engage in hatred, violence, anger, jealousy, envy, greed. They get along with each other better than before. Purity of thought is absolutely important. They fast and feel for the poor, the poor and underprivileged are well fed and taken care of.

Fasting Benefits

In this day and age we are constantly surrounded by food and drinks all through the day. We are always snacking and overfed between the meals. Intermittent fasting helps us in using our sugar levels and then our body fat when we fast. This releases Ketones. Ketones helps in mental alertness and keeps us alert and agile all day.
