Milking Opportunity

I was tripping around Rajasthan from Feb 17th to Feb 27th this year with my family. One of the main attractions of Rajasthan and not just in the deserts are the Camels. Pushkar was our first stop and after visiting temples we went to see the desert. We denied the camel ride but they just won’t listen! His name was Rashid and the Camel’s Gabbar. “Ye sher se bhi zyada khatarnak hain Madam, lekin kya kare bina sawari ke na iska paet bharta hain na humara” he said. He also said on an average camels eat anywhere around 15 kgs of dry grass(or fodder, I dint know what he said) and liquid food too. It is a mutual co existence. We cannot feed it otherwise. We take care of it like our family and look after at its old age. The bruises told a different story but I got on the camel anyway because we like it or not, we have to do certain things for our family :(

Again in Jaisalmer we had a similar experience and he it was a 11 year old boy compelling us to hop on the camel. “He is working for its own survival. He is earning his food” he said

Recently there was debate on social media based on a question asked by a lady to Sadhguru during one of his Darshan. It was about milking cows.

A huge debate(an allegation apparently) followed on social media on the same.

P.S. I watched the original video on which the allegation is based. I did not watch the allegation video completely because he compares it with carbon-di-oxide emitted by us which is an unequal comparison. Also there was so much cribbing and ranting. However, the allegation was right on the face so here are my two cents.

P.S ka P.S: I am a vegetarian. I admire both Arvind and Sadhguru for their work. I am an Isha Volunteer so I keep aside the tag(for a while) to keep it fair and just.

Arvind tells us the trauma and the torture animals face in the slaughter houses which is heart wrenching. He has many videos in English and Tamil urging people to turn Vegan. As a result, he has many followers who admire him and are considering his view and many more have turned Vegan already. Commendable job there!

Isha foundation’s flagship program, Inner Engineering unleashes the inner potential, joy, blissfulness in a person. It tells them how to be,what to eat, what not to eat, how to eat, how much to eat and when to eat. But it is totally upto people. Their own food choices. Few change, few customize, few don’t. The class tells how certain foods harm their body in the long run and yet few people choose to eat whatever they wish to!

Do you think they have enough compassion to think about someone else? In this day and age there is no enough maturity or compassion to think about anything else apart from the self. And Sadhguru is changing that. Making them conscious. Inclusive, compassionate. Raising Human Consciousness.

Veganism is relatively new concept. I am glad it is catching up in a huge way. Let us also consider the demographics of the nation. Below Poverty level is the majority even before the pandemic. Getting food on the table is a major concern for many households so the choice of food is out of question. The cost and availability of the alternate options are also a matter of concern.

I understand and agree Globalization and demand to meet supply has been cruel to animals. No second thoughts on that. Human feels he is the epicentre of the universe and all other being are at his service. But this sick mentality is the result of Globalization and modern technology. Earlier cows were holier-than-thou and Goumata was literally the nourishing mother. Now she is probably for political reasons :P

You have inspired hundreds and Millions probably with your logic and reasoning but it shows how industries are exploiting the animals, bees are dying, slaughtering animals and all the cruelty.

For 37 years(or more maybe) Isha Foundation is relentlessly working to change people from compulsive behavior to conscious behavior. They can then be conscious and inclusive about everything around them. Changing the person will have a better impact over nature rather than just food habits which might change again(who knows?)

He is changing people for better. Teaching them Yoga for Joy, Health, Clarity and Balance. He is planting trees. He is the go-to person for any issue in the world. He is the changing the face of Global ecosystem. In World “Economic” Forum, the key aspect was Ecology - one million trees. He is giving economic solutions for ecological problems. The world is taking note of it. His projects include humans, plants, animals(especially bees), soil, water and what not. He is doing everything possible to make the world a better place(not just for humans).

All this won’t interest you, you just take a fragment of a statement and bam- you got a clickbait. Pandemic or no, people are not ready yet for veganism. Especially how you do it- forcing people literally. You show ground reality and show how inhuman it is(it is definitely!) and compel us to turn vegan. He has a different mission(yet similar). He wants to transform the whole of Humanity so that nature- plants, animals, soil everything will flourish.

Did he interfere with your vision? Is he any different? He is taking it slow. Slow and steady might win in the long run :)

Currently he is the most popular person Internationally for a plethora of activities he is into. Also unpopular because certain vested interests are against him, against progress, against happy world.

You have put up his photos, picked up his statement, packaged it(not so well this time). He did not say consumption of diary is not cruel. He said it is better than slaughtering. With the mindset people are into- people wont change with his statement. For 37 years he’s been saying be conscious, be sensible. If that worked, this question wouldn’t have been popped.

He is raising funds, feeding people, talking to doctors, businessmen, Global leaders and working on getting best possible solutions on board. If not for this pandemic, he would raise trees, save bees, soil, work on solutions for economy and ecology, education and of course the fundamental- Raising Human Consciousness. For you it is another interesting video and choosing him is sure shot success. The negative impacts it creates is none of your business. Then Dear Arvind, the inhuman behavior you speak about in all your videos is true with you too. You are a hypocrite.

Putting on my tag.

Namaskaram 🙏🏻
